Upgrades, timber & planning
What upgrades can I add?
Upgrade to cedar (+£450 to £800 depending on size), add a polycarbonate roof to a pergola (+£250), slatted screens or trellis (from £120 a side), built-in bench seating (from £180), concrete pads or post shoes (from £180), lighting pre-wire and fittings (from £150) or a protective oil, stain or paint (from £95).
What timber do you use?
We use pressure-treated softwood as standard for durability and value. Cedar is also available for a premium finish with natural resistance to decay.
What can I use a gazebo or pergola for?
Outdoor dining and entertaining, a shaded spot to relax with climbing plants, a private shelter over a hot tub or spa, or a garden centrepiece with lighting and planting.
How much maintenance is needed?
Just an annual clean and a fresh coat of protective oil, stain or paint will keep your timber structure looking good for years.
Do you deliver and install across Norfolk?
Yes. We cover all of Norfolk, including Norwich, Dereham, Wymondham, North Walsham and the surrounding towns, and our team handles the groundwork and final fit.
Do I need planning permission?
In most cases no, as long as the structure is under 2.5m high and doesn’t take up more than half your garden. We’ll advise if your design might need permission.
